The Seikaiha design, meaning “blue ocean waves” is one of the most iconic patterns in Japanese art. Dating back over a thousand years, this repeating motif of layered arches symbolises peace, resilience and good fortune. It has long been used in Japanese textiles, ceramics and decorative arts, making this bowl set a timeless addition to any table.

Japanese rice bowls are designed to be small and easy to hold, allowing rice to stay warm while remaining comfortable to use with chopsticks.
