Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our fresh wasabi and specialty Japanese ingredients.
How should I store my fresh wasabi rhizome?
To maintain freshness, wrap the rhizome in a damp paper towel and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for up to two weeks if the towel is changed every few days.
Do you ship fresh produce internationally?
We currently ship our fresh wasabi rhizomes and plants within the UK and selected European countries to ensure they arrive in peak condition. Our pantry staples can be shipped worldwide.
How is the fresh wasabi packaged for delivery?
Fresh wasabi is packed in temperature-controlled, insulated packaging with ice packs to ensure it remains cool and crisp during transit from our farm to your kitchen.
What is the difference between real wasabi and the paste in tubes?
Most commercial pastes are made of horseradish, mustard, and green dye. Real wasabi (Wasabia japonica) has a complex, sweet, and herbal flavor with a heat that dissipates quickly rather than lingering.
Can I return fresh food items?
Due to their perishable nature, we cannot accept returns on fresh wasabi rhizomes or plants. However, if there is an issue with the quality upon arrival, please contact us within 24 hours for a resolution.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as digital wallets like PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
