Chopsticks - Dark Bamboo

A set of dark bamboo chopsticks from the Zumi workshop in Fukui Prefecture, Japan, crafted using traditional lacquerware techniques.

Zumi is a respected artisan workshop known for specializing in lacquerware products. Located in Fukui Prefecture, a region famous for its centuries-old lacquerware craftsmanship, Zumi combines traditional techniques with contemporary designs to create high-quality, long-lasting pieces.

The lacquered surface not only protects the bamboo from moisture but also prevents wear from regular use, extending the chopsticks' lifespan and making them durable enough for daily use.

To protect the finish of your chopsticks, we recommend handwashing only in warm water. Natural lacquer finishes can weaken in hot water, so it's best to use warm water and dry the chopsticks immediately after washing.
