The Story

Grow your own authentic Japanese Daikon radish, also known as Mooli.

Celebrated in Japanese cuisine for its crisp yet tender texture and mild, delicate flavour, this impressive vegetable is as versatile as it is nutritious.

The name Daikon literally translates to “big root”, and this large white radish certainly lives up to its name.

Whether grated fresh, finely sliced into salads, lightly pickled, or gently cooked to reveal its smooth natural sweetness, Daikon is a staple ingredient in Asian cooking and an increasingly popular choice in UK kitchen gardens.

Why Grow Daikon Radish?

  • Crisp, juicy texture with a clean, mild flavour
  • Perfect for grating, pickling, fermenting or cooking
  • Fast-growing and easy to cultivate
